A LEGACY OF DESIGN
David Shaw Furniture was founded in 1980 by David Shaw, a pioneer in New Zealand manufacturing and design whose work has shaped the industry for nearly five decades. Today, the business continues as a second-generation family company, with David joined by directors Amy Shaw and Amanda Cook, each bringing their own depth of expertise to the studio.
Amy Shaw, Creative Director, brings twenty years' experience as a buyer, fashion store owner, and designer across clothing, marketing and branding, shaping how the David Shaw aesthetic is expressed across every collection and every room.
Amanda Cook brings a wealth of experience in commercial account management, with a background in footwear prior to joining David Shaw. Relationships are her strength, and the trust she builds has long underpinned the business.
Together, the directors bring a rare combination of design instinct, commercial expertise and creative vision, carried forward from the brand's founding principles into its next chapter.
Every piece is designed and made in Christchurch, New Zealand, with showrooms in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
